This introductory class teaches the basics of working in the fascinating art of leaded glass with a focus on safety and technique. You will learn how to make and cut patterns, select and properly cut glass, safely solder using the copper foil technique, apply patina, and build a metal frame. Along the way you will learn the history of this ancient art, rules of safety, and ideas for design. $100/full barter class fee includes your 6 x 3-hour lessons plus the glass and all the materials for your 2 student projects (instructor chooses the first project and you choose the second from the many available patterns).
